Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of product catalog data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all platforms and digital channels.
  • Implement and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures for catalog content, ensuring adherence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, sales, and IT teams to gather, validate, and integrate new product information.
  • Perform regular, thorough audits of the product catalog to identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and preventing errors.
  • Optimize product listings for searchability and user experience, including managing metadata, keywords, rich content, and attributes.
  • Develop and generate reports on catalog performance, data quality, and content gaps to inform strategic decisions and support business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain product imagery, descriptions, specifications, pricing information, and other relevant product attributes.
  • Train and support internal teams on catalog best practices, data entry standards, and system usage to promote consistent data quality.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Product Information Management (PIM) systems or strong experience with large-scale database management and content aggregation.
  • Expertise in data analysis and validation, with an exceptional eye for detail, accuracy, and problem-solving.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation).
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital merchandising principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex data requirements clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) principles and best practices for optimizing product discoverability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL or other querying languages for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with merchandising strategies and tactics in an online retail or wholesale environment.
  • Certification or extensive experience with specific PIM software solutions (e.g., Akeneo, Salsify, inRiver).
