We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable On-site Cashier to join our vibrant Supermarket Team in Unalaska, Alaska. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring correct change and payment processing.
- Scan items efficiently, verify prices, and apply discounts or promotions as applicable.
- Greet customers warmly, engage in friendly conversation, and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist customers with bagging groceries and carrying them out to their vehicles when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, including shelves and displays near the registers.
- Answer customer questions regarding products, store layout, and promotional offers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to cash handling and customer service.
- Assist in other store areas as needed, such as stocking shelves or general cleanup, to support overall team goals.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift with precision.
