Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger-carrying vehicles (buses) on scheduled routes.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, company policies, and timetables.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with queries and ensuring a comfortable journey.
- Collect fares, issue tickets, and manage passenger manifests accurately.
- Conduct pre-service vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior for passenger comfort.
- Handle unexpected situations with professionalism, including traffic delays or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and other team members.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers, particularly vulnerable individuals.
Required Skills
- Valid UK PCV (Category D) driving licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience (ideally bus/coach).
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bucksburn and wider Aberdeen road networks.
- Experience with electronic ticketing systems.
- First Aid certification.
