Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of security personnel, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement effective security patrols, access control procedures, and surveillance strategies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating with relevant authorities as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation with accuracy and detail.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential security risks and recommend preventative measures.
- Ensure all security equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries and concerns regarding security operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations for security staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security best practices, local laws, and company protocols.
- Assist in the development and delivery of ongoing training programs for the security team.
Required Skills
- Valid BC Security Worker License
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a security role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in incident report writing and documentation
- Ability to operate security equipment and surveillance systems
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills under pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field
- Advanced security certifications (e.g., AST, PSP, CPP)
