Career.zycto is seeking experienced Painters to join our dynamic Renovation Team in Rwamagana, Eastern Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare various surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, priming, and repairing cracks or holes.
  • Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working order.
  • Protect adjacent areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and other coverings.
  • Ensure high-quality finishes, smooth textures, and even coatings on all surfaces.
  • Adhere strictly to safety standards and guidelines on all job sites.
  • Collaborate effectively with other renovation team members, including carpenters, masons, and project managers.
  • Manage paint and material inventory, reporting needs to the project supervisor.
  • Clean up work areas thoroughly after each project phase and upon completion.
  • Identify and resolve painting issues, ensuring client satisfaction with the final product.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Painter, preferably in renovation or construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
  • Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting tasks, including working at heights.
  • Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in painting or a related trade.
  • Experience with various types of coatings and specialized painting techniques (e.g., decorative finishes).
  • Valid driver's license (Category B) and ability to drive to various job sites.
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and working knowledge of English.
