Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including residential and light commercial units, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using advanced testing equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to extend their lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
- Comply strictly with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues and solutions clearly and empathetically to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and installation work performed, including parts used and hours spent.
- Conduct thorough system inspections and recommend necessary upgrades or replacements.
- Be available for on-call duties and emergency repairs outside regular business hours as needed.
- Educate customers on proper system operation and maintenance for optimal performance.
Required Skills
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Proven experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical faults
- Proficiency with a variety of HVAC tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational certification in HVAC technology
- NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification
- Experience with smart home and building automation systems
- Prior experience in both residential and commercial HVAC settings
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
