Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate student records, attendance, and admissions processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies, handling inquiries professionally.
- Prepare, distribute, and manage school correspondence, newsletters, and communications.
- Oversee general office administration, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities requests.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and other senior staff.
- Coordinate school events, meetings, and parent-teacher evenings, including logistical arrangements.
- Process financial transactions, invoices, and petty cash, liaising with the finance department.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and school policies.
- Manage school diaries, appointments, and room bookings efficiently.
- Support the induction of new staff and assist with HR-related administrative tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a busy administrative or office management role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a capacity to multitask.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Enhanced PVG/DBS check clearance or willingness to undergo one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within an educational setting (school, college, or university).
- Familiarity with school management information systems (e.g., SEEMiS, SIMS).
- Qualifications in Business Administration or a related field.
