Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily milking routines efficiently and hygienically, ensuring optimal milk quality.
  • Monitor the health and welfare of dairy cows, calves, and young stock, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Assist with feeding, watering, and general care of livestock, following specific dietary plans.
  • Clean and maintain milking parlours, sheds, pens, and all associated equipment to high sanitation standards.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance on various farm machinery, including tractors, feeders, and parlour equipment.
  • Support calving procedures and provide post-natal care for cows and newborn calves.
  • Undertake general farm duties such as fencing, repairs, and grounds maintenance.
  • Adhere strictly to all animal welfare protocols, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of milking yields, feed consumption, animal treatments, and other farm data as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience working with dairy cattle.
  • Basic proficiency in operating farm machinery (e.g., tractors, feeders).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
