Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily milking routines efficiently and hygienically, ensuring optimal milk quality.
- Monitor the health and welfare of dairy cows, calves, and young stock, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Assist with feeding, watering, and general care of livestock, following specific dietary plans.
- Clean and maintain milking parlours, sheds, pens, and all associated equipment to high sanitation standards.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on various farm machinery, including tractors, feeders, and parlour equipment.
- Support calving procedures and provide post-natal care for cows and newborn calves.
- Undertake general farm duties such as fencing, repairs, and grounds maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all animal welfare protocols, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of milking yields, feed consumption, animal treatments, and other farm data as required.
