Key Responsibilities
- Sort and prepare mail and parcels for delivery to specified routes.
- Efficiently deliver mail and parcels to residential and business addresses within the Hounslow area.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers and members of the public.
- Handle all mail items with care, ensuring their safe and secure delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections as required.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle concerns, or public inquiries to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent physical fitness, capable of walking for extended periods and lifting parcels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work to deadlines.
- A good understanding of the local Hounslow area or ability to learn routes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or postal role.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a logistics or outdoor work environment.
- Familiarity with handheld delivery devices or similar technology.
