Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including the accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and ongoing management of both acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, ensuring patient safety and strict adherence to established clinical guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and critically act upon various diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Educate patients and their families extensively on health maintenance, effective disease prevention strategies, and practical self-management techniques.
- Facilitate timely and appropriate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers when medically necessary, ensuring coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date electronic and physical patient medical records, complying with all regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in continuing medical education (CME) and engage in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of the clinic.
- Adhere strictly to all medical ethics, professional standards, and regulatory requirements governing medical practice in Nigeria.

Required Skills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Possession of a valid and current medical license to practice in Nigeria (Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria – MDCN registration).
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) clinical experience as a Medical Officer or General Practitioner.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately diagnose and effectively treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with patients and colleagues.
- Strong patient assessment capabilities and robust clinical decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures and the provision of emergency care.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of a postgraduate qualification or membership in a relevant medical college (e.g., Family Medicine, General Practice).
- Prior experience working specifically in a community-based clinic or primary healthcare setting within Lagos.
- Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Fluency in local Nigerian languages (e.g., Yoruba) would be a significant advantage.
