Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a shuttle vehicle on scheduled routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Ensure punctuality and maintain adherence to designated schedules and timelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage as needed.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the shuttle vehicle, both interior and exterior.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers, providing updates on delays, incidents, or other pertinent information.
  • Handle passenger inquiries and address minor concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Follow emergency procedures in the event of an accident, breakdown, or medical incident, ensuring passenger safety.
  • Complete daily logs, mileage records, and any other required paperwork accurately.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 4 (or equivalent for passenger transport) driver's license in Manitoba.
  • Minimum of 1 year (12 months) professional driving experience.
  • Clean driving record with no major infractions.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of Steinbach and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely in varying weather conditions.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Experience operating various types of passenger vehicles.
  • Previous experience in a shuttle, taxi, or public transport role.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset.
