Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, blockages, and system malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of plumbing infrastructure.
- Install and service water heaters, boilers, and other heating system components.
- Work with various piping materials (copper, PVC, PEX) and appropriate joining techniques.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Provide clear communication and exceptional customer service, explaining work performed and offering solutions.
- Manage job-related documentation, including work orders, service reports, and material requisitions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record.
- Excellent knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (if involved with gas appliances).
- Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar thermal, air source heat pumps).
- First Aid certification.
- Additional certifications in specific plumbing technologies.
