Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling, and priming them appropriately.
- Apply various types of paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers with precision.
- Match colors and textures accurately to existing finishes or client specifications.
- Erect scaffolding or ladders as necessary, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure longevity and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance painting, touch-ups, and decorative work on existing structures.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, plasterers) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on job sites, promoting a safe working environment.
- Inspect completed work for quality and address any deficiencies or touch-ups required before project sign-off.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a painter in construction or property maintenance.
