Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and/or electronic components accurately according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and other written instructions.
- Perform quality checks and inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet internal and industry standards.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Identify and report any defects, non-conformities, or discrepancies in components or assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and problem-solve.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of assembly equipment as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills with strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and mechanical assembly processes.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and basic power tools.
- Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with specific assembly techniques such as soldering, wiring, or intricate mechanical fitting.
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery or automated assembly equipment.
- Forklift license or experience with material handling within a factory setting.
