Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver a variety of goods to customers within specified timeframes.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy and collect payments or obtain signatures as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, resolving any issues professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle maintenance records.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Handle returns and undeliverable packages in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of Ruddington and surrounding Nottinghamshire areas.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg.
- Proficiency in using GPS devices and navigation apps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery driver role.
