Career.zycto is looking for a talented and dedicated Meat Cutting Specialist to enhance our team in Vacoas-Phoenix. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of meat products, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning of various meat types (beef, poultry, lamb, pork) according to established standards and customer requests.
- Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, grinders, slicers, and knives.
- Ensure all meat products are prepared, weighed, packaged, and labelled correctly for display or custom orders.
- Maintain immaculate hygiene and sanitation standards in all work areas, equipment, and storage facilities, adhering strictly to food safety regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, inspecting, and storing meat deliveries, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering expert advice on meat selections, cooking methods, and special cuts.
- Collaborate with the team to create attractive and well-stocked meat displays that entice customers.
- Monitor product freshness and quality, promptly addressing any issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in various meat cutting techniques, including deboning, trimming, and portion control.
- Comprehensive knowledge of different meat types, cuts, and their appropriate applications.
- Strong understanding and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP principles).
