Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various production machines according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine quality checks on finished products, identifying and reporting any defects or deviations.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery, escalating complex issues to maintenance staff.
- Load and unload materials and finished products from machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols.
- Accurately complete production logs and reports.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and production orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Understanding of safety procedures and practices in a factory setting.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
- Forklift certification.
- First aid training.
