Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations within Pentyrch, Cardiff, and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and accurately record deliveries and pickups.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto's brand positively.
- Manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments for deliveries when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B minimum) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in driving, ideally within a delivery or logistics capacity.
- Excellent knowledge of local geography and routes within Pentyrch, Cardiff, and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) and sizes.
