Career.zycto is actively seeking enthusiastic and physically capable individuals to join our client’s ground operations team as an Airport Baggage Handler. This is an immediate start, full-time opportunity based in the dynamic environment surrounding Cardiff Airport, supporting vital logistics operations from our St Fagans base. As an Airport Baggage Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of luggage, cargo, and other essential items that keep flights on schedule and passengers happy.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload luggage, cargo, and mail onto and off aircraft, adhering to airline and safety procedures.
- Operate ground support equipment (e.g., tugs, belt loaders, baggage carts) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport baggage between the terminal, aircraft, and baggage sorting areas.
- Sort and deliver baggage to correct carousel and storage areas.
- Conduct visual inspections of baggage for damage or security breaches.
- Communicate effectively with team members, pilots, and airline staff.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on the ramp and in baggage handling areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company, airport, and regulatory safety and security procedures.
- Assist passengers with special requests or oversized baggage as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy luggage (up to 32kg/70lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrable strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Successful completion of a background check and security clearance (5-year verifiable work history).
