Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of communal areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance tasks within residential properties (e.g., changing lightbulbs, unblocking drains, basic carpentry).
- Manage waste disposal and recycling, ensuring bins are presented and returned appropriately.
- Monitor security systems and report any suspicious activity or breaches.
- Assist with the preparation of vacant properties for new tenants, including light cleaning and inventory checks.
- Liaise with external contractors for larger maintenance works, providing access and overseeing their activities.
- Maintain external grounds, including litter picking and basic garden upkeep.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and concerns related to property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and maintaining records.
- Order and manage cleaning and maintenance supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a caretaking, facilities assistant, or property maintenance role.
- Strong practical skills in basic repairs and general maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to property upkeep.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
