Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of various tax forms and returns (e.g., T1, T2, T4, T5, GST/HST) for individuals and corporations.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and legislative changes to ensure compliance and identify potential impacts.
  • Support the senior tax team in gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial data for tax reporting purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
  • Assist with correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities (e.g., CRA, Revenu Québec).
  • Participate in internal training sessions and professional development initiatives to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless data flow and compliance adherence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tax compliance strategies and process improvements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an asset).

Preferred Qualifications
