Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Factory Supervisor to lead our production operations in Triolet, Pamplemousses District. This pivotal role is central to maintaining our high standards of product quality and achieving optimal manufacturing output. As a Factory Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring that all processes adhere to established quality control protocols, safety regulations, and production targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
  • Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
  • Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, coordinating with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the factory floor.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, R&D) to streamline processes and achieve overall business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction strategies.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels for uninterrupted production.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and production processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet production targets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy, including experience with production management software or ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with specific industry machinery relevant to our production line (e.g., textile, food processing, electronics).
  • Fluency in English and Mauritian Creole; French is a plus.
