Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Travel Consultant to join our vibrant team in Finaghy, Belfast. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and specific requirements to design tailored travel packages.
- Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodation, car rentals, cruises, tours, and other travel services.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel restrictions, visa requirements, and travel insurance options.
- Process bookings, payments, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, industry changes, and new product offerings.
- Handle customer queries, issues, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction.
- Work towards achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Prepare and present detailed travel itineraries and documentation to clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar sales-focused travel role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a travel-related environment.
- Excellent destination knowledge across various global regions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using GDS (Global Distribution System) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a client-centric approach.
- High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant travel and tourism qualification or degree.
- Experience with CRM software for managing client relationships.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Personal travel experience to a wide range of international destinations.
- Knowledge of various travel insurance products and regulations.
