Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
- Help prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and classroom displays.
- Support students in developing independent learning skills and positive social behaviours.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, and lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor student progress, record observations, and provide constructive feedback to the class teacher.
- Assist with the assessment and tracking of student attainment and development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and concerns.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a classroom or educational setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and first aid certification.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Familiarity with the Northern Ireland curriculum.
