Career.zycto is seeking highly motivated and resilient individuals to join our commercial fishing crews operating out of Woodlawn, Dartmouth. As a Commercial Fishing Crew member, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to all aspects of the fishing operation from preparing gear to processing the catch. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, deployment, and retrieval of fishing gear (nets, traps, lines) under the guidance of experienced crew members.
- Handle and sort the catch, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulations.
- Perform initial processing of fish and shellfish, including gutting, cleaning, and icing.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vessel, including deck scrubbing and equipment upkeep.
- Participate in vessel maintenance tasks, such as painting, rigging, and minor repairs.
- Actively participate in safety drills and adhere to all marine safety protocols and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the captain and crew to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Contribute to the general well-being and positive morale of the crew during fishing expeditions.

- Current Marine Emergency Duties (MED) or Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
