Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions across our cloud environments (primarily AWS, Azure, or GCP). You will work closely with development, operations, and compliance teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security architectures and controls for AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud resources.
- Automate security operations tasks and integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including forensic analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security into the entire SDLC.
- Stay current with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Participate in compliance audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship on cloud security topics to other team members.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
- Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and encryption.
- Experience with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and cloud native security services.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of industry security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
