Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join our dynamic team in Geraldton. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and implementing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier performance across various categories. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, performing spend analysis, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable sourcing plans. As a Strategic Sourcing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the entire sourcing lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and vendor identification to negotiation, contract management, and ongoing supplier relationship management. You’ll be expected to develop robust financial models, conduct ‘should-cost’ analyses, and present compelling business cases for proposed sourcing initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed spend analysis, market research, and industry trend analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and potential suppliers.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans across various categories to achieve cost reductions, improve quality, and ensure supply chain reliability.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs, evaluating proposals and leading negotiations with potential suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, gain consensus on sourcing strategies, and ensure successful implementation.
- Perform financial modeling and 'should-cost' analysis to support negotiation strategies and validate savings.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, renewals, and effective vendor relationship management.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
- Present findings and recommendations to management, clearly articulating business cases and potential impacts.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement policies, procedures, and tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst, Procurement Analyst, or similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
