Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally skilled and proactive Cloud Services Analyst for an immediate, full-time hire in our Waterloo, Ontario office. This critical role is designed for a technically proficient individual eager to dive into complex cloud environments and ensure the seamless operation, security, and optimization of our infrastructure. As a Cloud Services Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting our rapidly expanding cloud footprint, playing a vital role in monitoring, managing, and resolving incidents across various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities
- Perform proactive monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, applications, and services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Respond promptly to incidents, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions to restore service and prevent recurrence.
- Implement and maintain robust security best practices within cloud environments, including access controls, data encryption, and network segmentation.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through continuous evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth deployments, integrations, and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, operational procedures, incident reports, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical cloud services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new cloud services and features, ensuring they meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Analyst, Engineer, or similar role.
- Proven expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of core cloud services including IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and task management.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux and Windows Server environments).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to incident diagnosis and resolution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
