Your expertise will cover a broad spectrum of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to urgent repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen appliances.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing issues such as leaky faucets, faulty lighting, and minor electrical problems.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify and rectify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Carry out general repairs and upkeep of the hotel's infrastructure, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and furniture maintenance.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring their safe and effective use.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or renovation projects as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and hotel policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to minimize disruption to guest services during maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hotel or commercial building setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
