Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Full-Time IT Systems Technician to join our team in Mutare, Manicaland Province. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure, providing essential support to our internal users, and maintaining the reliability and security of our systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational knowledge of IT systems, networks, and hardware, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach. In this role, you will be the frontline support for IT-related issues, from troubleshooting software glitches to performing hardware installations and network diagnostics. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues to internal users.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, network devices, and peripherals.
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, including LAN/WAN issues.
- Assist in the deployment of new IT infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and comprehensive documentation of IT processes and solutions.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and other departments to ensure seamless IT operations and user satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security protocols, and data protection regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Server OS)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching fundamentals
- Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair (PCs, laptops, printers)
- Knowledge of common office software (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional)
- A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with Active Directory and user account management
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems and related IT infrastructure
