Career.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Bel Air Rivière Sèche. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our clients, spanning various industries, maintain strict adherence to local and international regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in regulatory compliance and auditing, working with diverse portfolios and contributing significantly to our clients’ risk management frameworks. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting thorough internal audits, and providing expert advice on regulatory changes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Mauritian legal and regulatory environment, with a particular focus on financial services and corporate governance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes, both local and international, and advise clients on their implications and necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and documentation accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
- Provide expert guidance and training to clients and internal teams on compliance matters, risk management, and ethical conduct.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, breaches, and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance monitoring program.
- Assist in the development of risk assessment frameworks and internal control systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance, audit, or regulatory role.
- Strong understanding of Mauritian financial services regulations (e.g., FSC, Bank of Mauritius guidelines).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma) or Audit (e.g., CIA, ACCA).
- Experience with compliance management software and tools.
- Familiarity with international compliance standards (e.g., AML/CFT, GDPR).
- Prior experience in a consulting firm or multiple industries.
