Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools, including skimming, brushing, and vacuuming.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid).
- Add appropriate chemicals to maintain water quality and sanitation standards.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, and automatic pool cleaners.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on pool equipment as needed.
- Identify and report major equipment malfunctions or structural issues to management.
- Maintain accurate service records and chemical logs for each pool.
- Provide exceptional customer service and professional communication with clients.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations related to pool maintenance and chemical handling.
- Manage and organize pool maintenance tools and supplies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in pool maintenance and water chemistry.
- Strong understanding of pool filtration systems and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on pool equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of pool chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., chemical buckets) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications a plus.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing service role.
- Familiarity with Fort Chaffee, Fort Smith area routes.
