Key Responsibilities
- Collect and load various types of waste materials (e.g., household, recycling, garden) from designated bins and containers onto collection vehicles.
- Operate compaction mechanisms and other vehicle equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow assigned collection routes and schedules accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including manual handling procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist the driver with safe manoeuvring and reversing of the vehicle.
- Maintain cleanliness of collection vehicles and equipment.
- Report any issues, hazards, or missed collections to the supervisor promptly.
- Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public.
- Contribute to team effort by assisting colleagues as needed.
