Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Manage daily logs, vehicle inspections, and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Plan and execute routes effectively to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of your owned equipment.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, potential delays, and any issues encountered.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to customer delivery schedules and requirements.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable OTR/Regional experience.
- Proven track record of safe driving and clean MVR.
- Own reliable tractor with valid registration and insurance.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both dry van and reefer freight.
- Prior experience working as an independent Owner-Operator.
- Familiarity with various electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Availability for both regional and over-the-road (OTR) routes.
