Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately process room service orders, including special requests and dietary restrictions.
  • Efficiently prepare and set up food and beverage trays according to established standards of presentation and hygiene.
  • Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive and professional interaction.
  • Present food and beverage items clearly and offer assistance with setup within the guest room.
  • Retrieve used trays and dishes from guest rooms and designated service areas in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service pantry, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, front desk, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Process payments and manage guest charges accurately.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to exceptional guest service and hospitality standards at all times.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel room service or similar hospitality role.
  • Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
  • Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and services in Katherine, NT.
