Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration units.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and and staff, addressing issues such as leaky faucets, clogged drains, faulty light fixtures, and appliance malfunctions.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and grounds to identify and resolve maintenance needs proactively.
- Execute minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and functions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to minimize disruption to guests and operations during maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Proficiency in using common hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
