Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, Wi-Fi) across multiple locations.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal network uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Manage and configure network devices including routers, switches (Cisco, Juniper, Arista), firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Participate in capacity planning, network architecture reviews, and technology evaluations to support future business growth and innovation.
- Automate network tasks and deployments using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible) to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network staff and cross-functional teams.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides thoroughly.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (systems, security, development) to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT services.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and administration.
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper Junos, or similar enterprise-grade network operating systems.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, and other routing/switching protocols.
- Strong experience with network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and DDoS mitigation.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network environments.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with SDN/SD-WAN technologies.
- Scripting experience with Python for network automation.
- Experience with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5, HAProxy).
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
