Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Data Administrator to join Capita on a flexible contract basis. This role is crucial for supporting our diverse range of client projects from a home-based setup. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry, updates, and maintenance across various internal and client-specific systems.
  • Validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular data cleansing activities to eliminate duplicate, outdated, or incorrect information, enhancing data quality.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards from collected data, presenting findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Adhere strictly to data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal security policies, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams and other departments to understand data requirements and ensure data quality meets project standards.
  • Assist in the development and ongoing documentation of data management processes and procedures to promote best practices.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple data-related tasks and projects concurrently, consistently meeting deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Provide essential support for data migration and integration projects as required, ensuring seamless data transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders regarding data-related queries, issues, and progress updates.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Administrator or in a similar data management role (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Access) and data manipulation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
  • Solid understanding of data protection principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Robust problem-solving aptitude with a logical and analytical approach to data challenges.
