Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular ticket and pass inspections on public transport services (buses, trams, etc.) across the Shirehampton, Bristol network.
  • Verify the validity of travel documents, ensuring passengers hold appropriate tickets or passes for their journey.
  • Issue penalty fares or report instances of fare evasion in accordance with company policy and legal procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with journey information, directions, and general enquiries.
  • Act as a visible deterrent against antisocial behaviour and contribute to a safe and secure travel environment for all passengers.
  • Handle challenging situations and passenger disputes calmly and professionally, following established de-escalation protocols.

  • Operate and maintain handheld ticket validation devices and other relevant equipment.
  • Stay updated on all fare structures, ticketing products, service changes, and company policies.
