Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities from planning to completion.
- Ensure strict adherence to project plans, specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Supervise, motivate, and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively to meet deadlines.
- Implement and enforce site safety plans, conduct toolbox talks, and manage incident reporting.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and variations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities as required.
- Proactively identify and resolve site-related issues and challenges.
- Ensure the quality of work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in residential or commercial construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and WHS regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and White Card (Construction Induction Card).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Local knowledge of the Banora Point / Tweed Heads area construction market.
