Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, and continence support, always maintaining patient dignity.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Support patients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding assistance.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families, engaging in conversation and active listening.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a patient's condition or well-being to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for patients.
  • Accurately document care provided and observations in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary hospice team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • First Aid qualification.
