Key Responsibilities
- Implement existing lesson plans and instructional strategies provided by the absent teacher.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage student behavior effectively, adhering to school and district policies and procedures.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times.
- Collaborate professionally with school administration, faculty, and staff as needed.
- Adhere strictly to school schedules, bell times, and daily routines.
- Provide clear, concise, and objective feedback to the regular teacher upon their return regarding class progress and any significant incidents.
- Protect the confidentiality of all student records and information.
- Engage students in learning activities, answering questions, and providing support.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to various classroom settings, grade levels, and subjects.
Required Skills
- Valid California Teaching Credential or Substitute Teaching Permit
