Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
  • Conduct inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Execute minor repairs and upkeep tasks such as painting, patching walls, carpentry, and furniture assembly/repair.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from staff and management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, storage areas, and mechanical rooms.
  • Operate and maintain various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with groundskeeping duties, including light landscaping, trash removal, and exterior cleanliness.
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by external contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade.
  • Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
