We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our operations in Rose Belle, Grand Port District. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Efficiently store materials and products in designated locations, adhering to proper storage procedures and safety guidelines.
- Issue materials and supplies to various departments or external parties as per authorized requisitions, maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring all inventory is accessible and handled correctly.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely and proficiently (if certified and required).
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or surpluses to the procurement team to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Prepare and package items for dispatch, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Utilize inventory management software to record all stock movements, updates, and generate reports.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse management (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
