Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults efficiently.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments to machinery components to restore optimal function.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize disruption to operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in machine performance and reliability.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or production staff when necessary.
Required Skills
- Australian recognised trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex machinery faults.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Competency with a range of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Solid commitment to safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift license (LF class).
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Basic Arc/MIG welding skills.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
