Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers warmly, providing exceptional service and assistance throughout their visit.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, handling cash, card, and mobile payments.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, offer product recommendations, and resolve inquiries or issues promptly and courteously.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and checkout area, including merchandising and stock replenishment.
- Process returns, exchanges, and special orders in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting stock counts.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, store policies, and security procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily sales targets and customer service goals.
- Stay informed about current promotions, products, and services to provide accurate information to customers.
- Open and close the store, including cash reconciliation, as required.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service experience in a retail or service-oriented environment (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail for handling transactions and cash accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail setting.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 15 kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sales Assistant or Cashier.
