Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery notes and quality standards.
- Organise and store inventory in designated locations, optimising space utilisation and ensuring easy accessibility.
- Maintain precise inventory records through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and diligent data entry into our inventory management system.
- Assist with the preparation and dispatch of outgoing orders, including picking, packing, and labelling goods accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and communicate findings to relevant departments.
- Ensure the stockroom remains clean, tidy, and safe at all times, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate manual and powered equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and trolleys, to move goods as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, particularly for data entry and inventory systems.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages up to 25kg and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho Inventory).
- Certification in manual handling and/or basic first aid.
- Previous experience working with barcode scanning systems.
