Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe dictated medical reports, including patient histories, physicals, office notes, operative reports, consultations, discharge summaries, and other medical documents.
- Identify, interpret, and clarify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in dictation, consulting with physicians or other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Ensure all transcribed documents adhere to established formats, grammatical rules, punctuation standards, and institutional guidelines.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and other applicable data privacy laws.
- Utilize medical reference materials, dictionaries, and specialized software to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcribed reports for clarity, spelling, grammar, and completeness.
