Job Description
Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for helping individuals achieve their homeownership dreams? CBZ Holdings is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team in Banket, Mashonaland West Province. In this crucial role, you will be the cornerstone of our mortgage lending process, responsible for meticulously preparing, reviewing, and verifying loan applications from submission to closing. You will act as a vital link between applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and external third parties, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and efficient lending experience. Key Responsibilities
- Review new loan applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documentation is submitted.
- Order and review third-party documentation including appraisals, title reports, credit reports, and verifications of employment/assets.
- Communicate regularly with loan officers, borrowers, and third parties to obtain missing information and provide updates on loan status.
- Verify all application information, including income, assets, credit, and property details, adhering to regulatory and company guidelines.
- Prepare loan files for underwriting, ensuring all conditions are met and documented appropriately.
- Work closely with the underwriting department to clear conditions and address any discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of loans, prioritizing tasks to meet critical deadlines and closing dates.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and national mortgage lending laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the loan processing stage.
- Provide exceptional customer service, keeping all parties informed throughout the loan process.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or similar role within a financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulations (e.g., ZIMRA, RBZ guidelines), and industry best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial documents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in mortgage lending or financial services.
- Experience with specific loan processing software used in the Zimbabwean market.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
