Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across all school facilities, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, common areas, and staff rooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report needs to supervisors.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning of specific areas as scheduled.
- Report any observed maintenance issues (e.g., faulty lights, leaking taps) to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, stored properly, and in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and school policies.
- Assist with setting up and clearing away for school events or activities as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role, preferably within a commercial or institutional setting.
